Dr. Douglas Joo, President of HJIFEP, has served as Chairman and President of The Washington Times, United Press International, and several other international news publications under News World Communications, as well as AmericanLife TV Network and other electronic media. He was President of World Media Association, The Washington Times Foundation, American Family Coalition, and Times Aviation International, as well as International President of the Youth Federation for World Peace. He was Co-Chairman of the board of trustees of the University of Bridgeport, CT.
Dr. Sun Jin Moon

Dr. Sun Jin Moon, Executive Director of HJIFEP, has served as Chair or Board Director of various nonprofits and businesses. She holds a master’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology from Columbia University, New York, a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Harvard University, and an honorary doctorate degree from Sun Moon University, South Korea. She has a successful track record of leading campaigns to promote environmental sustainability and raising funds. In her spare time, she enjoys doing culinary arts, meditation, and yoga.
Dr. Yeon Ah Moon
Director
Professor Yeon Ah Moon is Chair of the Universal Peace Federation in Korea and former President of Women's Federation for World Peace International. She graduated from Ewha Womans University in Seoul with a master’s degree in sociology and earned an honorary doctor’s degree from Sun Moon University (SMU), Korea. She served as a professor at SMU in the College of Theology and the Pure Love Department of Social Welfare.
Dr. Michael Jenkins

Dr. Michael Jenkins is President of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) International and Chairman of UPF-North America. He is President of The Washington Times Foundation, Chairman of The Washington Times Holdings, and Chairman Emeritus of the American Clergy Leadership Conference. Being actively involved in the Northeast Asia Peace Initiative and the Middle East Peace Initiative, he has coordinated seven Washington Times Fact Finders to Korea on Denuclearization and Peaceful Reunification since 2015 and has been coordinating interfaith conferences in Israel, the Gaza Strip, Jordan, and Lebanon since 2003.
Dr. Frank Kaufmann

Frank Kaufmann is Director of the Professors World Peace Academy (PWPA) and editor in chief of New World Encyclopedia. In 2007, Dr. Kaufmann brought the academic journal, Dialogue and Alliance, of the Inter Religious Federation for World Peace, to be named in the top ten religion journals (out of 650) by the American Theological Library Association (ATLA), In 2008, Dr. Kaufmann was nominated for Hofstra University’s first Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize, given that year to the Dalai Lama, In 2009, Dr. Kaufmann established Filial Projects, a private consulting firm for conflict mediation, humanitarian work, and scholarly training.
Mr. Larry Moffitt

Larry Moffitt is Executive Vice President of The Washington Times Foundation, and Secretary General of Universal Peace Federation North America. He has been Vice President of International Operations for United Press International and has served as Vice President of Editorial Operations for the Tiempos del Mundo newspapers, which published weekly in 16 cities in 13 countries of the Americas during the 1990s. He was also the founding Executive Director of the World Media Association. He currently serves on the boards of several interesting and worthwhile organizations.
Dr. Theodore Shimmyo

Theodore Shimmyo, originally from Japan, is President Emeritus of the Unification Theological Seminary (UTS), Barrytown, NY. He served as President there from 1994-2000 and still serves as Professor Emeritus, teaching theology courses. From 2000 to 2009 he was Senior Research Fellow at the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), Tarrytown, NY. Dr. Shimmyo obtained a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tokyo (1971), a Religious Education diploma from UTS (1977), and an MPhil. and a PhD in Christian theology (1981, 1984) from Drew University, Madison, NJ. He co-edited Explorations in Unificationism (1997) and published numerous scholarly articles.
Mr. Glenn Strait

Glenn Strait earned a BS in physics at University of Idaho in 1967. He played a key role with the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences (ICUS) from its first meeting in 1972 to 1985, when he helped launch The World & I Magazine. Subsequently, until 2004, he served as one of the magazine’s Natural Science editors. From 2004 – 2007 he was Senior Editor of World & I: Innovative Approaches to Peace, a publication of Universal Peace Federation. He has served on the organizing committee for ICUS XXIV (2018) and for ICUS XXV (2019).
Dr. Frederick Swarts
Director
Frederick Swarts, PhD, is Professor of Sustainable Development at the University of Bridgeport's School of Public and International Affairs and is Academic Dean of Bridgeport International Academy. He also serves on the US Central Department of Energy Institutional Review Board and is Life Sciences Editor for New World Encyclopedia. Dr. Swarts has given the Keynote Address at a Society of Wetland Scientists annual conference, organized a panel at the UN on The World’s Fresh Water & Wetlands in the 21st Century, and organized and headed a fact-finding tour of American and international authorities to the Pantanal of South America.
